Episode 147: Hunter Knezovich

In this episode I’m joined by Hunter and his son Jett Knezovich. Hunter had hunted elk and mule deer all his life in Wyoming and had been a Tundra Talk listener since before making the move to Fairbanks. We talk about how things were growing up compared to what it’s like living and hunting in Alaska now, and get to hear about Jett’s first caribou. Enjoy!

Episode 134: A Greenhorn Sheep Hunt

In this episode I’m joined by my long-time friend Nick. I met Nick in our first couple years of college, and back in 2006, we set off to hunt sheep. It was great re-living the memories of that hunt and hopefully you can learn some lessons from our mistakes.

Episode 132: John Sturgeon

In this episode, I get to sit down with the man who took the NPS to the Supreme Court and won. Twice. John is a passionate hunter and now advocate for Alaskans, our lifestyle, and use of our lands. He talks about his now famous lawsuit against the National Park Service that has greatly impacted access to many of our lands. John also currently sits as president of the Alaska chapter of SCI, and is raising awareness around the upcoming meetings to decide the fate of millions of acres of federal public lands in northwest Alaska.
